On October 15, 2025, the Riga Aeronautical Institute hosted an open lecture within the study course “Philosophy and Sociology”, delivered by Mg. oec. Anna Tiļļa. The lecture, titled “Philosophy and Sociology in the Modern World,” encouraged lively discussions about the role of philosophy and sociology in contemporary society, their impact on human thinking, values, and social processes. Participants had the opportunity to share their experiences, ask questions, and engage in debates on current trends and developments.

On October 9, 2025, the representative of Riga Aeronautical Institute, Vice-Rector for Science Vladimirs Reikarts, participated in the international seminar “Xecs Matchmaking Event – Xecs Call 5” held in Riga as part of the EUREKA program. Xecs is an innovation cluster for electronic components and systems aimed at promoting international cooperation and technological advancement in this field.

On Friday, September 26, Riga Aeronautical Institute officially inaugurated its new 3D Air Traffic Control Simulator, designed for basic, intermediate, and advanced ATC training.The simulator enables realistic air traffic management — assigning routes, issuing departure and arrival clearances, coordinating airspace, and preventing conflicts. High-resolution visuals recreate airport environments with moving and stationary aircraft, vehicles, terrain, markings, variable weather, time of day, and lighting.

At the ICAO Assembly in Montreal, the project “Green Corridors”, developed by specialists from RSE “Kazaeronavigatsia”, won 3rd place in the prestigious Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Aviation Award, competing with 52 countries, 84 projects, and 194 participants.

The Riga Aviation Forum (RAF) 2025 gathered representatives, experts, researchers, and leaders of the aviation industry from the Baltics and Europe to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the aviation sector in the region. The conference highlighted strategic development directions as well as innovative solutions on the path towards sustainable and climate-neutral aviation. Special focus was given to aviation innovations, multimodality, urban development around air transport hubs, and mobility challenges in modern cities
