The seminar program included a visit to the unique radio astronomy infrastructure and laboratories of Ventspils University of Applied Sciences, as well as discussions on science policy, European university alliances, and strengthening cooperation among higher education institutions to support the development of Latvia’s scientific community and space research sector. Special attention was devoted to the sustainability of scientific human capital, academic succession, and the role of young doctoral students in strengthening research activities. Participation in the seminar provided an opportunity to exchange experience, establish new cooperation contacts, and discuss future perspectives for the development of higher education and research in Latvia.
