On June 2, 2026, representatives of Riga Aeronautical Institute (RAI) participated in the Seminar of Vice-Rectors for Research and Heads of Research Units held in Ventspils. RAI was represented by Vice-Rector for Research Vladimirs Reiskarts and Director of the Training Center Artūrs Kokars. The seminar program included a visit to the unique radio astronomy infrastructure and laboratories of Ventspils University of Applied Sciences, as well as discussions on science policy, European university alliances, and strengthening cooperation among higher education institutions to support the development of Latvia’s scientific community and space research sector.

We are proud to congratulate Azimjon Sobirov, a student of Riga Aeronautical Institute (RAI) and currently the Assistant Chief Flight Instructor at Pelican Flight Training, on earning the FAA Gold Seal Flight Instructor Certificate - one of the highest honors in aviation instruction.

The 35 STUDENT SCIENTIFIC-PRACTICAL CONFERENCE "ENGINEER SCIENCES, DIGITIZATION AND INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES IN LOGISTICS SYSTEMS’ MANAGEMENT"

In scope of scientific and practical conference organized by RAI the students will present the results of their scientific research in the field of international transport services: challenges and trends in the spheres of aircraft technical maintenance management, logistics organization and planning, including safety issues of different types of transport technologies and innovations in engineer sciences.

Today, the Riga Aeronautical Institute held the pre-defense of bachelor’s and master’s final theses, dedicated to the 35th Student Scientific and Practical Conference “Engineering, Digitalization and Innovative Technologies in the Management of Logistics Systems”.

At Riga Aeronautical Institute, the educational course series “Current Profession” was successfully held, aiming to introduce students to in-demand careers in aviation, engineering, and logistics.

The Ambassador of Latvia to the United States, Elita Kuzma, together with economic counselor Anete Kārkliņa-Lurope , visited Pelican Flight School, where she met with representatives of the Riga Aeronautical Institute (RAI) and the flight school team.
